Kayaking -- Our "other" water sport. Wait -- neither of our water activities is a sport. In this one, we pump up an inflatable kayak and drop it into one of Wayne County's many undeveloped ponds. Most of these ponds are about a mile or two in diameter, and (if they're managed by the PA Fish & Boat Commission), do not allow gasoline engine-powered boats. We often meander around the perimeters, coming across waterlilies, water willow, pickerel weed, arum, marsh roses, cardinal flowers, blue flag, sedges, sundews, pitcher plants, cattails, painted turtles, snapping turtles, herons, redwinged blackbirds, ducks, kingfishers, kingbirds, bald eagles, white-tailed deer, black bears, beavers, otters and mink. So what do we actually *do* when we come across these? Well, we either gawk, photograph or use the video camera! This is probably not the world's first reggae kayaking video, but it might be Pennsylvania's!
