An excellent concept - I wondered why this had not been thought of sooner. You can sail, paddle, foot paddle or install a small electric outboard. Pity they had not considered a meatier petrol outboard. It also has fishing rod holders and is a great all rounder - perhaps a little on the pricey side considering that one can purchase an Honwave 3.8 inflatable + Honda 20HP outboard for less money brand new. I am also a little unsure of the sail efficiency without some form of boom but I still like it. Great for an after work paddle/ sail down the Hamble on a glorious Summer evening.

Nick Ybarra & his father-in-law Marty Mulder canoed 110 miles on the Little Missouri River that runs through the ND Badlands in one day. They left from the I-94 bridge in Medora, ND at 7am Central time and finished at the Highway 85 Long X Bridge south of Watford City, ND at 1:30am that night. The trip took them 18.5 hours and is the fasted recorded time to canoe that particular distance on the Little Missouri. Kody Devlin & Zack Mulder joined them for 95 miles but called it quits when the sun went down. Nick & Marty did the trip for many reasons. The biggest one was to enjoy the life that God has given us on this beautiful earth He created for us. They also did it to raise money for Speed The Light. STL is an organization that buys vehicles for missionaries & for the group Convoy of Hope which responds to the immediate needs of natural disasters like Hurricane Katrina and the Haiti earthquake. It has been a goal of Nick & Marty to canoe this stretch of river in one day for quite a while. This is a hard trip to plan because many many uncontrollable factors must fall into order for it to be successful. We had almost perfect conditions to make this trip happen. We had good water levels, it is recommended to not paddle this river if it is below 2.5 ft... we went when the water was at 7.5 ft deep. The ice was finally off the river but still on the banks. We had a 60 degree day and although no wind at all would be ideal we at least had a south wind of 10 to 15 mph. Possibly ...

First, a trip to the lake near us to learn how to set up and get in and out of our Sea Eagle 330 inflatable kayak. I was quite impressed to see how easily it can carry 2 very tall men (almost a full load). Then we tried it with a single person and it was SO comfortable and easy to control. I am VERY happy with my new boat and the great customer service I received at Sea Eagle.com. Now back in the water.

It was an epic trip for the Bardstown Boaters at the Russell Fork this weekend in October. Many Bardstown paddlers came together in Elkhorn City, Kentucky for the Russell Fork Rendezvous and a Saturday run on the upper section. The trip was held as a bachelor party for Spalding Hurst, so it was quite a mixture of folks who came out to paddle, some for the first time in while. Johnny Mathews led a group in the raft. Tommie Hurst, David Etheridge, Ryan Hamilton & Toby Thompson topped off that crew. Bill Thomas & Stan Hurst styled it in the clubs 2-man duckie. I think they both have more whitewater runs in their future. Zach Nelson & John Thomas both paddled duckies as well. John was in some wily, crazy, little duck that wanted to stern squirt and flip all over the place, but he kept it control most of the time. Zach is now a inflatable kayak zen master. Spalding Hurst and Josh Carpenter kayaked as probes, finding lines and setting up camera for the rest of the crew while Jay Thomas and Ben Ballard led the group in their creek boats. Michael Greenwell, Jeremy Martin & Patrick Jefferies joined up for the festivies back at camp that night. The weather could not have been any better for this weekend. The bigger release on the Pound and the sunshine made for a perfect day of whitewater at a Kentucky whitewater jewel. The Bardstown Boaters can't wait for the next member to get hitched so they can celebrate again! Did you hear that Zach?

Daisy loves the water and really enjoyed her whitewater inflatable Sea Eagle kayak trip on the LeHigh River near Jim Thorpe, PA. Along with her on the trip is "Mommy", "Daddy", and her best buddy, Mango. The weather was perfect, the water cool and refreshing, scenery was gorgeous, and the trip lasted almost 7 hours. The only problem was we didn't actually start going down the river until 2 pm, and ended up back at Jim Thorpe after sunset -- we should have brought our clear prescription glasses!!! Scary shooting the rapids in the dark with sunglasses on!!!
