You sit up fairly high in this inflatable kayak so it has a little bit of a different feel. However once you get used to it you will find that you glide nicely and it is extremely responsive. The fact that you are sitting up quite high makes it ideal for those who love to fish. It is light enough to take traveling and small enough to roll up and store in a small space. The nice thing about the AlterEgo is that it is quite versatile. It can paddle nicely on flat water lakes but also still hold its own in up to class III whitewater. The small size makes it very easy to paddle and manoeuvre. There is decent storage space considering its size, including behind the seat, under the front cover as well as tie down bungees to secure gear on the front deck. This solo Zoik AlterEgo can hold up to 320 lbs., weighs 26.5 lbs., is 9' 6" long and 3' 2" wide. There is plenty of leg room even for a taller person and foot rests which really help with bracing your feet for more strength in your core.
