SEPTEMBER 28th, 2011. Filmed on location at The Green River (lower half) in Canyonlands, Utah. Gila Hash (pronounced: HEE-la) was created and invented by my Dad: "Howard", and his friend: "Charlie". These guys canoed the Gila River on inflatable kayaks and brought with them some fresh fixins for the campfire. When they got up the last morning for breakfast, they rounded up everything they had left over in the cooler and made whats called Gila Hash.
