A 2nd trial of my home made crab-claw kayak sail on my Gumotex "safari" inflatable kayak on the Solway Firth estuary. Wind strength a force 4. I went around the harbour at Port Carlisle getting an all-points sail in an anti-clockwise direction. Getting a wind on the beam, a run and beating to windward. She performed quite well after the lighter rig and better cleats i had added.

It was the first time i had sailed with the rig and I was testing it out in a wind of force 4-5. She was good on a run, and held her own on a tack, but I had to make some changes to her design by having an easier cleating method and raising the sail higher as not to interfere with the paddles of the kayak. But in all i was very pleased with the 1st results. It was hard to control while videoing!
