Self designed Crab-Claw rigged Safari Gumotex inflatable kayak. Her first sail on the Solway Estuary April 2011, in the northwest of England. It was the first time i had sailed with the rig and I was testing it out in a wind of force 4-5. She was good on a run, and held her own on a tack, but I had to make some changes to her design by having an easier cleating method and raising the sail higher as not to interfere with the paddles of the kayak. But in all i was very pleased with the 1st results. It was hard to control while videoing!

HandiRack Review (Kayak Fishing Transportation Alternative) Video Clips. Duration : 2.43 Mins.
With the gas prices being at an all time high I have been hesitant to take my SUV out with the kayak. I began to look for other alternatives to transport my kayak from my Jetta. I looked at permanent racks like the Yakima and Thule but the prices were a bit higher than I wanted to spend and the rack was more permanent than I wanted. I wanted something I could take on and off fairly quick. I stumbled upon the HandiRack which is an inflatable roof rack which can be placed on and taken off quickly. My one concern was durability and after driving 600 miles each way from Chicago to the BWCA Minnesota I must say I was pleasantly surprised. At you can't really go wrong.

Portable 55lbs Electric Trolling Outboard Motor for Kayak, Canoe, Inflatable Boat Tube. Duration : 1.73 Mins.
Only 9 at www.boatstogo.com What makes this particular trolling motor extremely unique is a 26" custom-cut short shaft to better fit transoms of inflatable boats, KaBoats and kayaks. You would not find 55lbs Electric Trolling Motor with a short shaft anywhere else. Another very unique feature of this trolling motor is a tilting throttle handle with 10 adjustable positions. Adjustable handle allows it to be lifted almost 45 degree up, or all the way down, parallel to the motor shaft. This makes trolling motor more portable, compact and allow much easier transportation and storage than other brands trolling motors with fixed perpendicularly trolling handle. Adjustable angle throttle handle also makes motor operation more comfortable, because you can raise it up or tilt down.

"Any Kayak" Sail Rig, Straps On, Tacks Upwind - See On Tango Sit-On-Top; Innova Inflatable Tube. Duration : 5.70 Mins.
Click: www.sailboatstogo.com The "Any Kayak" upwind sail kit from SailboatsToGo.com straps onto your kayak and transforms it into a real sailboat. Seen here on the Tango sit-on-top kayak from Mainstream and also on the Helios III inflatable from Innova -- but those are just two examples of the thousands of different kayaks it can work on. Adjustable. Optional stabilizer floats in several styles (including ultra-portable inflatable ones) prevent tipping. Some kayaks are stable enough to sail without stabilizers with a skillful skipper. Many options and upgrades available to customize your kit to your needs and budget (eg, larger sail, custom colors, special leeboards, heavy-duty mast). Sail kit folds down to a compact package so it can travel in checked baggage, or in the trunk of your car and store under a bed or in a closet. www.SailboatsToGo.com. email: Jim@sailboatstogo.com. Tel: 978 263 7598 or 1-888-JOY-SAIL (toll free, US only).

Air Valve replacement for inflatable boat, kayak, raft or kaboat Tube. Duration : 2.55 Mins.
Valves can be easily replaced with a special plastic tool that is designed to fit into valve openings in order to unscrew a tight valve. Top part of the valve can be simply unscrewed for cleaning or replacement. New valve can be screwed in place of old one. In most cases, simply cleaning rubber seal inside the valve will fix slow leak that may develop over time due to the grime and residue collection on top of that seal.

TheBoaters.TV First up Looking for an alternative solution to a high-priced boat? How about an inflatable kayak?! According to Trevor Kugler's article on EzineArticles.com, they are amazingly durable and can be a fraction of the cost of a traditional kayak or boat! To read more on this article and about the author check out www.ezinearticles.com. Moving on: I am going to be highlighting interesting forum topics about boating in the pod casts. If you guys have boating questions that I can help with I will research it and try to answer your question. In the forum posts, Jonothan Laurie raised a few interesting points. Jonothan, you asked about catching sea scallops. You can get on your boat, search for an area with bladed grass, pull over, and go underwater and grab the scallops. According to the Monterey Bay Aquarium, you can catch scallops using a dredge. To learn more about catching sea scallops visit www.ehow.com and if you want to learn about fishing methods visit Monterey Bay Aquarium at www.MBayAq.org. Next: When you purchase a boat you've got to have a place to store it. I found some ideas at EzineArticles.com that will make your dock more comfortable and easy to manage.
